詹姆斯·保罗·麦卡特尼爵士，MBE(Sir James Paul McCartney)1942年 6月18日在利物浦出生，为英国音乐家、创作歌手及作曲家，披头士(1960–70年)及Wings(1971–81年)乐队队员。保罗·麦卡特尼与乐队的独唱生涯中一共创作了60张金唱片、50张冠军单曲，唱片销量超过4亿张。列侬与保罗·麦卡特尼的合作也是20世纪最成功也是最具影响力的创作组合之一。吉尼斯世界纪录在2009年把保罗·麦卡特尼列作“流行音乐历史上最成功的音乐家与作曲家”。
